Entartung awaits you, its newest citizen.

Brought to the city of Centre via as-yet unknown mechanics, you've been implanted bodily with the network chip, giving you immediate access to the SYNC network. You have awakened in the local religious temple, dressed in a clean white robe, freshly washed, and with all previous injuries fully healed. When you awaken you become aware this isn't the first location where you have been brought—first you were interrogated in a formless place, a place that had no physical features and no way to sustain yourself. You were brought there and questioned until you agreed to become a citizen of Entartung. Congratulations on your arrival!

Under Entartung’s cold grey skies and endless day, you’re left with few answers about what your presence here means. But you’re the resilient type, right? You’ll figure out how to make the best of it.

1. Waking up is hard to do: Like everyone who arrives, you’re found unconscious in the temple and immediately are implanted with your SYNC neural network chip. But after you were washed and dressed in your pristine white robe, something went wrong with the amount of medication in your system. You do not have a pleasant awakening, and your immediate response is panic. Hopefully someone will be there to help talk you down.


2. Infrastructure: Exploring the areas beyond the city yield many interesting discoveries, such as the environmental collectors that dominate the landscape outside the city. Thankfully, there’s a fence preventing accidental falls from the ring at the edge, and the actual construction of the environmental scrubbers seems sound. It’s easy to see why it’s so important for everything to run like part of a well-oiled machine. It’s just your luck to be here when one of the transformers decides to blow.


3. Mind Wipe: The real currency of Entartung is knowledge, and everyone knows the ability to sell information to the leadership here is the only real power anyone has. But what if that process went wrong? What if they tried to take one thing and instead they took... everything?


4. Network: Characters have full access to the network as soon as they leave the Temple. Even with getting used to the Dvorak keyboard, sending and receiving messages is a snap. What will you send?


5. Wildcard: Think of a scenario that strikes your fancy better than one of these? Throw it into your prompt.
